A fresh and light essential oil with a rose-like fragrance, Absolute Essential Certified Organic Palmarosa is very good for spot treatment of skin blemishes and skin ageing and is helpful for managing stress.

Stimulating, balancing and restorative, Palmarosa supports healthy skin and is particularly beneficial during adolescence for stressed or oily skin. A fresh and grassy plant distillation, it's often used in blending to balance stronger scents.

Blends well with: Lavender True, Orange Sweet, Geranium.

Directions for use:

• Skin Rejuvenation: Add 5 drops to 50gm of night moisturiser or oil and apply to the face to support natural cell regeneration.
• Skin Blemishes: The gently regulating and antiseptic qualities of Palmarosa help natural healing from skin blemishes. Add 5 drops to a steam facial or dab a drop onto spots or blemishes with cotton wool. Repeat daily.
• Skin Irritations: Blend 20 drops with 20ml Evening Primrose and apply three times a day to areas affected by skin irritations, redness, dryness and itchiness. This combination supports natural skin recovery and healing.
• Skin Imbalances: To promote healthy, balanced skin blend 20 drops of Palmarosa with 20ml Rosehip and apply twice a day to affected areas. Enhance by adding 5 drops of Geranium and 3 drops of Manuka.

Traditional & Historical Uses:

Palmarosa is a wild growing, herbaceous green and straw coloured grass that originates from India. The oil, with its rose-like scent, used to be called Turkish geranium oil or East Indian geranium oil. It was widely used as an ingredient in soaps, perfumes and cosmetics.

Believed to be particularly beneficial for the skin, with moisturising, regenerative and healing properties, Palmarosa has been used for acne, dermatitis, minor skin infections, scarring, sore feet and fungal infections. It is also said to ease nerve and stress-related problems.
