Struggling with cellulite or fluid retention?
Fennel Essential Oil supports healthy circulation and the natural expulsion of excess fluids from body tissues. It works well in combination with oils for cleansing and detoxification processes and has a sweet, intriguing scent. Blends well with: Cypress, Geranium, Juniper Berry and Cedarwood Atlas.
Directions for use:
- Chest & Respiration: To assist the body's natural respiratory and expectorant processes, add 3 drops of Fennel to a carrier oil and apply to the chest as required. Or add 2 drops to 1/4 teaspoon of honey and swallow. Repeat 2-3 times a day as required.
- Digestion: To support healthy digestion, and help counter flatulence or indigestion, add 5 drops of Fennel to 1ml Olive oil and massage into the stomach in a clockwise direction, or add 2 drops to 1/4 teaspoon of honey and swallow. After meals, as required.
- Fluid Retention: To promote a healthy fluid dynamic, use 5 drops of Fennel oil in a footbath. For added benefit include 5 drops of Lemon essential oil. Repeat as required.
- Cellulite & Circulation: If you are concerned about cellulite or gout, use to assist healthy circulation: add 5 drops of Fennel to a bath every other day or dilute with Sweet almond oil and rub onto affected areas daily. The fragrance and effect may be enhanced by adding 2 drops of Geranium oil and 2 drops of Cedarwood Atlas oil.
Traditional & Historical Uses:
Fennel had many uses throughout old world countries. It was used by the Greeks to suppress appetite for weight loss, while the ancient Chinese used it to treat snakebites. The Egyptians and Romans ate it after meals to aid digestion.
Fennel has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can be used to help prevent the build up of toxins in the body. It has been linked with decreasing fluid retention and is believed to be effective for treating coughs, colds and flatulence. The sweet, spicy fragrance is also used to create a sense of strength and warmth.
