In NZ, it's usually much cheaper to send things via post or courier in a bag rather than a box. But did you know that you can use a more environmentally friendly option than the standard NZ post plastic bags?
If you like buying online, but you're not sure whether your products will arrive packaged in plastic, why not post a (pre-paid) bag to your supplier with a note suggesting they use this eco-friendly option?
R3pack's home compostable courier bags are made from natural, abundant, renewable corn starch. They use non toxic inks to provide you with a natural alternative to traditional plastic based courier bags.
R3pack's compostable courier bags are certified to comply with the International Standards for home and commercial composting. EN13432 / AS4736 / AS5810
The matt black colour and silky feel of these bags is nice to use while also being eco-friendly.
Made from plants
Home compostable and commercially compostable
How do I send these?
If you are sending to your supplier, you could post them in an envelope with a standard stamp.
You can go to your local NZ Post shop or agent to get a postage or courier ticket, which will be a standard price standard for the whole country (unlike boxes, which cost more inter-island).

The sizing is similar to Courier Post / NZ Post / Trademe medium bag / NZ couriers / Fastway Couriers current courier bag sizing. R3pack is not affiliated with any of the courier companies.
Please note that R3pack's compostable courier bags are fully compostable however the removable backing from the adhesive strip is made from PE plastic to maintain the adhesive, and all stickers and tape should be removed prior. The adhesive strip can be recycled with your standard soft plastic recycling.
Please note our pricing of the smaller quantities is significantly higher than buying from R3pack directly in packs of 100. This reflects the cost of our processing. We just love the product and want to make it more widely available!
Note: The home-compostable bags are not recyclable in plastic schemes.
Also check out the 100% recycled plastic ones here - which are fully recyclable.
